‘The Torah of ADONAI is perfect, restoring the inner person. The instruction of ADONAI is sure, making wise the thoughtless. 8 The precepts of ADONAI are right, rejoicing the heart. The mitzvah of ADONAI is pure, enlightening the eyes.’
Many Christians have been taught that ‘we are not under the law”, but under grace.’ In other words, the teachings and instructions in the writings of Moshe (Moses) are no longer of value because we are saved by grace through faith alone…apart from any works.
An important fact that Christians failed to consider is that — a true disciple of Yahuwshuwa lives in obedience to the teachings in Torah not to merit eternal life, but in response having been converted.
We must never forget that the Hebrew word, Torah, when translated to English means; “teachings and instructions”.
The English word, “law” is a poor mistranslation of the Hebrew word —Torah. Yahuwah presented through Moses the fundamental laws of moral and physical conduct for a people chosen to reveal His glory to the nations.
Rabbi Shaul (saint Paul) wrote – Romans 15: 4, ‘For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.‘
